The Little Friends of Nature team have not been able to meet since last year, but this has not stopped them from ‘growing’ their environmental (but socially distanced) learning activities!
The Little Friends of Nature team have been encouraging children to look, play and explore nature during lockdown. Partners have supported families with ideas and competitions to motivate families with young children to remember that they can and should continue to respect and care for the environment even during challenging times…such as a pandemic!
In the UK, Greet Primary and Hodge Hill Primary, have been developing exciting new outdoor learning areas including brand new “mud kitchens” in the school playground, which have served as great example of how to use recycled materials. In addition, key worker children attending Greet Primary became ‘Greet gardeners’ and ensured the window boxes, planters and garden areas bloomed throughout the summer term.
